Automated Guided Vehicles (AGVs) are all-purpose driverless industrial trucks powered with electric batteries.
They offer a wide range of applications for any industrial sectors. They can carry weight ranging from several kilos (sinks) to several tons (containers, reels). Pick-up/deposit level may be extended to 10 metres approximately.
AGVs' built-in control system manages internal functions such as communication, guidance system, devices control, safety.
The guidance mode is laser-based.
BA Systèmes' range of AGVs covers a wide panel of logistic applications.
The forkover AGV — GL — is the smallest AGV of the range. It allows handling open boarded pallets on the ground or on conveyors.
The counterbalanced AGV — GF — is completely versatile and allows picking up multiple loads in various configurations (ground, conveyors, racks). It can be used jointly with specific tools to grab some loads (e.g. clamps for reel handling).
The outrigger AGV — GLE — allows handling heavy loads with reduced clearance. The GBH version of that type of AGV horizontally clamps paper reels.
The conveyor AGV — CM — is particularly designed for end of lines at high rates. It is equipped with 1, 2, 3, or 4 powered conveyors and can transfer pallets from a conveyor to another conveyor.
The narrow aisle AGV — GT — is equipped with a tri-directional head or a head with retractable forks for storage in narrow aisles, with heights up to 10 metres.
The lift-deck AGV — PL — is equipped with a lifting deck tool that allows it to move under the loads to transport them.
BA Systèmes can also develop special AGVs for certain applications such as the CAP type AGV for air freight.
