The 22th edition will take place in la Roche-sur-Yon from May 4 to May 7 under the theme “Beach Bots”. It does not mean that the teams that have been working so hard on their projects will relax!
This event gathers robotics passionates around a fun challenge that uses both the technical and scientific skills of the participants. Each year, 175 autonomous robots compete during matches that last 90 seconds and have to realize in a limited time, a certain amount of actions (bring objects to a certain place, close the door etc.) on a predefined route.
BA Systèmes is proud to have supported for several years both ARD and Atlantronic teams that are partially composed of BA Systèmes’ employees.
ARD team conceived a robot with a shark design to stick with the topic. Equipped with a touch screen, a 28V battery to boost the engine and a steel chassis to ensure better adherence, the robot will perhaps help the team to reach the podium for their last year of participation.
Atlantronic team realized two robots and the majority of their mechanics in 3D printing. They developed their own electronic cards and equipped their robots with propulsion and encoding wheels for a better odometry.
We wish ARD, Atlantronic and the other participants good luck for this challenge.
