Discover Stamina, mobile robot for part handling in the automotive industry, at Automatica fair in Munich that will take place from June 21 to 24, Hall B5, booth 129.
Automatica is the international trade fair for automation and mechatronics and has become a must-attend event for anyone interested in the solutions of the factory of the future.
Stamina robot is being developed as part of the homonymous European research and development project (STAMINA for «Sustainable and Reliable Robotics for Part Handling in Manufacturing Automation») which aims at developing and experimenting a mobile robotic system whose task is to prepare and distribute parts kits for the automotive industry. This collaborative project involves several European partners including Aalborg University (Denmark), Edinburg University (United Kingdom), Freiburg and Bonn Universities (Germany), Porto INESC (Portugal), PSA Peugeot-Citroën (end-user) and BA Systèmes.
Composed of a mobile platform (Automated Guided Vehicle type) and of a polyarticulated robotic arm, Stamina has been conceived to reduce the hard working conditions of operators and increase the competitiveness of production sites.
The robot tackles tasks of bin picking and of kitting (procurement method for gathering components intended to be assembled together) to place the different items in an embedded box to bring them to the assembly line via a conveyor.
BA Systèmes endorses both the technology provider and integrator roles (development, testing and safety) of the robotic system at PSA Peugeot Citroën.
Do not wait any longer to discover Stamina on BA Systèmes’ Booth 129, Hall B5 during Automatica Fair.
