Cognitively enhanced robot for flexible manufacturing of metal and composite parts

COROMA project offers to develop a cognitively enhanced robot that can execute multiple tasks for the manufacturing of metal and composite parts.





Three end-users from aeronautics, nuclear and shipbuilding industries offer various manufacturing use-cases for the robotic system such as sanding, drilling, deburring, NDT inspection, etc. The project approach makes extensive use of modularity. Seven different modules including autonomous navigation will be developed to cover the project’s technical challenges. COROMA will therefore provide the flexibility that European metalworking and advanced material manufacturing companies require to compete in the rapidly evolving global market.
